Ferdinand Omanyala Omurwa
On the track, Omanyala is not just a name, it’s a symbol of resilience, determination, and the pursuit of excellence. Born and raised in Western, Kenya, Ferdinand Omanyala Omanyala is a sprinter who has captivated the hearts of many with his speed and dedication to his craft.
Omanyala’s journey to athletic stardom began to manifest in 2015, while pursuing a degree in chemistry at the University of Nairobi. Omanyala embarked on his athletics career a decision that would alter the course of his life forever.
Omanyala’s transition from rugby to track was sparked by a keen observation from a friend who recognized his exceptional speed on the rugby field. With his encouragement Omanyala made the bold switch, trading the rugby pitch for the track. Within a matter of weeks, he stunned his competitors and fans with a time of 10.4 seconds in his debut race in Kakamega, signalling the dawn of a remarkable career.
